I think many people don’t know what to say or how to act when faced with a devastating heart wrenching loss, and the insurmountable pain that comes with it. I’m so sorry that you had to deal with such insensitivities – I think much of it does come from ignorance.

But people really don't know what to say sometimes when someone dies. I know I never do, but I do try to listen to people and let them know they're in my thoughts. I'm sorry about your son.
